Important Announcement: COVID-19

In light of recent events, we have taken the difficult but necessary decision to currently suspend all non-essential activities and personal visits to client tanks. This is in order to reduce physical contact in line with the current government-issued guidelines and protect both ourselves and our valued customers. Until further notice, we will be following the following protocol for our existing clients:

· Corporate clients who have given us 24-hour access to their offices and workspaces will receive minimal servicing in order ensure the welfare of the fish. We will be undertaking these visits outside of ‘standard’ working hours, i.e. in the evenings, in order to reduce as much physical contact with others as possible. All staff attending making these maintenance visits will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE) and sanitary wipes in order to prevent the spread of infection and maintain their own safety.

· In line with the government’s policy on social distancing and self-isolation, we will currently avoid making any personal visits to domestic clients in order to respect these guidelines in the interest of public safety. However, we will be available to offer virtual assistance and support for these clients in order to help them look after fish and maintain their aquariums. We are proposing a system of weekly calls via mobile, WhatsApp and/or Skype in order to keep in contact and answer any questions that may arise. More details regarding this approach will be available shortly.

· During this uncertain time, we want to assure our clients that we will also be closely monitoring all of our aquariums via our online management systems (as pictured below), to ensure all aquariums are running within acceptable parameters during this time.

· In the case of emergency call outs, these will be assessed on a case by case basis, depending on their severity and the ongoing situation with COVID-19 in the UK. Currently, we will not make any personal visits unless animal welfare is under threat. If this is the case, we will ensure staff are also equipped with PPE and any other necessary protection measures to prevent the possible spread of infection.

We would like to take this time to thank our clients for their patience and understanding during this difficult time. If you have any queries or concerns, please get in contact with us by emailing info@videreaquariums.com or send us a DM on any of our various social channels (listed below). Find us online:
